We implemented the web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 in a content management system (CMS) web portal using ASP.Net technology.
This work was promoted by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) during the WCAG 2.0 Implementation Report (1) first phase. Since November 2008 the developed CMS, called StandardWeb.it, is an online reference of Level A WCAG2.0 compliant website (2).
StandardWeb.it dynamically generates XHTML 1.0 Strict web pages extracting contents from a database. Each markup element of the XHTML page is organized to be in conformance with WCAG 2.0 and can also be decorated via Cascade Style Sheet (CSS) to perform a pleasant graphic impact for users.
