We implemented the web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 in a content management system (CMS) web portal using ASP.Net technology.
This work started during the W3C WCAG 2.0 Implementation Report (1) first phase. Since November 2008 the developed CMS, named StandardWeb.it, is an online reference of Level A WCAG2.0 compliant website (2).
StandardWeb.it dynamically generates XHTML 1.0 Strict web pages extracting contents from a database. Each markup element of the XHTML page is organized to be in conformance with WCAG 2.0 and can also be decorated via Cascade Style Sheet (CSS) to perform a pleasant graphic impact for users. We show the techniques and the solutions used to implement this software that lowers to zero technical skill for content authors who have only to care about their own task. ...Read WCAG 2.0 guidelines implementation in a CMS software
