StandardWeb: a Content Management System in compliance with standards.

When I started to developing this software, about one year ago, I was thinking about a system helping me to quickly develope websites for my customers. The idea was to create a software easy to update and simple in the layouts changing.

At that time a lot of software were already on the market but I often needed to customize them so I thought that was better to develope a new one than understand an already existent system.

And so here is StandardWeb.

StandardWeb is developed in Microsoft Asp.Net 2.0 and uses an Ole DB to store data.

There is an user interface to insert textual contents, images, files of any kind and the software transforms the informations in web pages.

But I know, this is not really a news...

The aim of StandardWeb in fact is to generate webpages in compliance with the W3C Standards.

So now all the pages are compliant to the XHTML 1.0 Strict directive and at the moment this implementation aims to be compliant to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.0.

Some other implementations of StandardWeb (information in Italian) (not compliant with standard) are online in some my customer's websites.

I spent a lot of time to build an application search engines likes. And sometimes I think that this goal has reached.

If you need other information, or if you want to share with me some ideas, please, write me at info@standardweb.it. I will be happy to answer you.
